This 30-year-old builder-grade space needed a comprehensive bathroom renovation to improve its aesthetics, functionality, and address minor leaks and damage accumulated over time. The linoleum flooring was damaged and outdated, the toilet had visible scrapes, and the bathtub was creaky and leaky. Simple one-piece surrounds are no longer the most attractive way to enhance home value.
The client wanted to transform the bathroom into a classic, spa-like retreat with a nature-inspired design. They wanted a spacious walk-in shower with enough space for a a shower bench when needed. Classic marble was chosen for the shower walls, shower niche, and vanity countertop, creating a cohesive and elegant look. The shower was meticulously designed and expanded to be ADA compliant. High-end shower faucets were installed, offering various water functions, including a luxurious ceiling-mounted rain shower head. The marble shower niche, adorned with a floral motif and framed in marble, serves as a functional art piece. This bathroom remodel shows how a space can be both ADA compliant and visually stunning, with spa-like elements achieved through the use of marble, premium shower fixtures and thoughtful details in the bathroom design.
Modern contemporary Kitchen Remodel
The kitchen, over 40 years old, had outdated features like ceramic tile countertops and cabinets that had been repeatedly repainted and repaired. The layout lacked functional flow, and the appliances were in need of modernization. To achieve a comprehensive kitchen remodeling, a complete demolition of the existing space was necessary.
The homeowners envisioned a modern kitchen with sleek cabinetry and optimized layout for enhanced workflow. They prioritized energy-efficient appliances and ample storage solutions to cater to their culinary preferences. We designed the kitchen layout to feature leathered, natural stone countertops, space-saving cabinets with extra storage, rolling racks, and appliances built-in. The new island improved workflow, while the timeless herringbone floor pattern retained a touch of charm. Finally, we added a Venetian plaster wall behind the island, completing the transformation.

The client wanted a contentemporary spanish bathroom with spa like amenitites. To create a spa like feel heated floors were added, with large soaking tub and a large curbless walk in shower. Various types of ambient lighting were used layering the lighting with vanity mirrors for task lighting, ambient lighting LED bathroom mirrors and an accent chandelier above the soaking tub. The thoughtful bathroom design used maxamized their space, creating a new and beautiful bathroom renovation!

The three-dimensional ledger tile backsplash proved challenging to clean and had accumulated grease over the years. The two-tone cabinetry, with light upper and dark lower cabinets, did not harmonize with the overall aesthetic of the house. While the kitchen was functional, it did not align with the preferences of the new homeowners.

Resurfacing the cabinets was all that was needed to bring them up to an elevated look. The butcher block countertop was replaced with a light quartz countertop with some gold vaining. The outdated tile surround of the 1,500-pound cast-iron bathtub was deteriorating and causing significant leaks. The water damage had begun to affect the subfloor and framing around the bathtub area, necessitating an urgent intervention. This emergency project required both mold mitigation and a comprehensive bathroom remodel to ensure a waterproof and functional space.
After considering various design styles and options, we opted for natural marble over porcelain or ceramic to enhance the home’s value at a comparable cost. The design included a wall-to-wall, elongated niche, and the area behind the bathtub was transformed into a simple bench rather than a full built-in surround. To replace the satin gold fixtures, we selected a modern copper finish, offering a unique design that complemented the tile and the Taj Mahal quartzite countertop.
